Land Title underwent a SOC 1 (SSAE 16) examination and has been independently certified for ALTA's Best Practices. In an effort to guide its members, raise the bar in the title industry, and assist the lending community in its compliance efforts, the American Land Title Association ("ALTA") developed the Title Insurance and Settlement Company Best Practices. ALTA's Best Practices are a comprehensive collection of policies and procedures the title industry should follow in order to protect consumers and lenders with an emphasis on privacy, data security, safeguarding consumer and lender funds, and adherence to applicable consumer financial laws.
